Iowa Division Summer Nationals Qualifying Tournament Scheduled for March 28

The Iowa Division Board has scheduled the qualifying tournament for Division 2, 3, and Veterans at Summer Nationals (June 27-July 6) in San Jose, CA for Saturday, March 28, 2015.

Events Scheduled:
8:30 am - Senior Men's Foil
8:30 am - Senior Women's Foil

12:00 pm - Senior Men's Epee
12:00 pm - Senior Women's Epee

2:00 pm - Senior Men's Saber
2:00 pm - Senior Women's Saber

Competition is open to members of the Iowa Division of USA Fencing born 2001 or earlier.

Basically, the top 3 or top 25% (whichever is greater) in each event will qualify for Summer Nationals (June 27-July 6 in San Jose, CA). Details about Summer Nationals and how to qualify can be found here: http://www.usfencing.org/news_article/show/389098?referrer_id=669372

If fewer than 4 fencers are signed up for any single event after preregistration is closed on March 21, the event will not be fenced. Those fencers will be "automatically" qualified. If a fencer has no intention of competing, we politely ask that they refrain from signing up. If a fencer signs up and then changes their mind, they can unregister on askFred or email Secretary Sarah Timmons Powell. We also may relocate events if ALL of the athletes in the event are from the same club and would rather fence at their home club instead of traveling to Des Moines. The final schedule will be emailed out after close of preregistration.

Cost:
$20 for 1 event
$30 for 2 events
$40 for 3 events
